This project was a fun one with 8 dormers, 40 custom hand rolled mechanical lock panels, over 300 panels, roll formed in the snowmobile parking lot, yes we still get it done in the winter!

Customer said their roof is leaking and I went into the attic space and pulled down some insulation and found this gem. Never underestimate the power of mother nature. This is the result of a poor decision to go with batt insulation instead of spray foam. 1.5" air gap to provide a "cold roof" but instead they got a frosty roof........

Quick video showing myself slitting and making window drip caps. Showcasing my slitter machine which I think is totally awesome! Allows me to easily slit these 26-guage flat sheets into either 3 or 2 strips at a time. In this case I'm splitting 1 sheet into 4 pieces in only 2 passes. Final touches to complete this one include new siding around the dormers (had to take off to install proper step flashings), and some drywall replacement. Almost every roof we do we have to re-build the chimney cricket. I like the cricket to extend a minimum of 6" past the chimney. Also always install a new quality @veluxusa skylight with their proper flashing kit. This home has 8 of them! Oh and a new jobsite drill press for pre drilling our @allweatherarmour2020 heated Eve system makes for fast and consistent holes. #axtellmtnconstruction #allweatherarmour2020 #velux #roofing

How to replace broken shake. 1. Carefully pry up and out broken shingle 2. Very carefully pry up the above shingles but leave in place 3. Slide new shingle into place about 1" low 4. Place two nails at 45° angle hammer in till the nail head touches shingle 5. Hammer bottom of shingle up into place 6. Place flat bar on top of overlying shingle and hammer those two nails in 7.
