Axtell Mtn Construction is a professional contractor who provides roofing, custom decks, remodels, tile, window replacement, and snow removal services to Gunnison, Crested Butte and areas beyond.

1990

Introduction into the World of Construction

Beginning in the early 1990’s, Jim and his family took on a whole different approach to bonding. They flipped houses as a group and introduced Jim to the pride and satisfaction of turning something in poor condition into a product of splendor.
2005

Sharpening of the Skills

Jim began working with Dunrite Roofing & Siding in Michigan. Learning the ins-and-outs of a large professional corporation, he joined them until his move to Gunnison County to attend Western Colorado University.
2012

Serving the Gunnison Valley

While attending university, Jim offered local handyman services throughout Gunnison. He offered a variety of services with a broad range of experience under his belt. Upon graduating WCU, Jim went to work in the oil & gas field putting his degree in Geology to good use. However, after a year stint in the field, Jim quickly realized that his passion was in construction. He returned to the Gunnison Valley to begin creating roots for what is now Axtell Mtn Construction.
2018

The Establishment of Axtell Mtn Construction

In 2018, Axtell Mtn Construction, LLC was born. Since it’s inception, the business has served countless clients throughout the Gunnison Valley. AMC specializes in roofing, custom decks, remodels, tiling, window replacement, and snow removal. No job is too difficult to tackle. Each project is met with care and top notch professionalism.
